HUNT, Robert A.— Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, March 19, 2010, Robert A. Hunt of Carbonear, age 85 years. Predeceased by infant daughter: Nita; parents: Cator and Hilda; sister: Nita; brother: Earl Ralph. Leaving to mourn, wife: Betsy ‘Betty’; four daughters: Lydia (Bert) Downing, Harbour Grace, Eleanor (David) Evely and Nita Hunt, both of Carbonear and Maxine (Barry) Tessier, Toronto; three sons: Chesley (Heather), Carbonear, Robert (Shirley), St. John’s and Roger (Rebecca), Australia; 10 grandchildren: Janet (Rodney), Heather, Blair (Kayla), Craig (Lynn), Robbie (Sarah), Krista, Mason, Christopher, Tyler and Cator; four great-grandchildren: Jacob, Erica, Jayden and Ethan; brother-in-law: Chesley Abbott, Gander; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Saturday, March 20 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. from St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear. Interment in the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to St. James Anglican Church, Carbonear. Visitation hours at Noel’s Funeral Home are 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. daily.
