Robert Jack Grainger, 81, of Hillsborough and formerly of Riverview, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, March 21, 2010. Born in Springhill, NS, he was the son of the late Samuel and Ethel (Selkirk) Grainger. Jack was retired from Spencer Memorial Home and attended St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Riverview. He was a member and Past Patron of Fidelity Chapter #36 O.E.S. and Coverdale Lodge #52 F&M, Riverview. He was a member of the Moncton Shrine Club and Luxor Shrine Temple, Saint John and was a Veteran of the Second World War. Jack will be sadly missed by his wife, Gertrude “Betty” (Lewis) Grainger; grandchildren, Cindy, Robert and Sandra, all of London, ON; great grandchildren, Brandon, Kayla, Cassandra, Amanda and Kali; brother, Darrell, Toronto, ON; several loving nieces and nephews. In keeping with Jack’s wishes, no visitation. Coverdale Lodge #52 F&AM Memorial Service at 6:30pm Wednesday March 24, 2010, followed by Fidelity Chapter #36 O.E.S. Memorial Service at 6:45pm, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995). Interment, Alderwood Cemetery, Riverview.
