Passed away Wednesday, March 31st, 2010 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, after a courageous struggle, Mildred Humber, at the age of 74 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: husband, Donald Humber; children: Elaine Humber (Martin Beeton), Alan Humber (Hope Pilgrim) & Raymond Humber (Cynthia); grandchildren: Andrew Humber and Fiona Humber; brother, Albert Wheeler (Ann); sisters-in-law: Mona Wheeler and Ruby Wheeler, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by sisters: Florence Batt, Jessie Sheppard, Melena Childs, Irene Sheppard, Eliza Druggett and Annie Sheppard; brothers: Frederick and Harold. Friends visited Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place from St. Ambrose Anglican Church in John's Beach on Saturday, April 3rd at 2:00 p.m., Reverend Nellie Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, NL Branch.
