It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Gallant announce his passing on Wednesday, April 7th, 2010 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 76 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his son: John, Corner Brook; daughter: Cindy (Peter) Allen, Lower Sackville, NS; two grandsons: Matthew and Jeremy Allen; brother: David (Loretta) Gallant; sister: Patsy (John) Gillis; sister-in-law: Elsie Gallant; brother-in-law: Orlando North; mother of his children: Agnes Gallant; special friend: Doris Parsons as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents John and Margaret, brother Ken and sister Sedella. Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 10th at 10:30 a.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Avenue. Monsignor Edwin Gale officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
