1946-2010 - Désiré Allain, 64 of Saint-Antoine has passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his residence on Friday, April 9th, 2010. Born in Bouctouche on March 20th, 1946 he was the son of the late Aurele and the late Rita (Maillet) Allain.
Désiré will be missed by all his music fans. Many a house party, benefit dance or any excuse to play music put a smile on his face. He lived for his family and his music. He will be sadly missed by his wife Debbie Caissie, his three children Mélanie Allain at home, Timmy (Laura) of Saint-Joseph de Kent and Ronnie of Bouctouche, five sisters, Aurella Richard (Fernand), Marie-Paul LeBlanc (Nœl), Marielle Caissie (Paul) all of Saint-Joseph de Kent, Marietta LeBlanc (Roger-Paul) of Moncton, Jeannette LeBlanc (Bernard) of Bouctouche, eight brothers, Jean-Paul (Rita), Lorenzo (Raymonde), Denis (Ginette) all of Saint-Joseph de Kent, Jean-Marie (Debbie) of Fredericton, Gerald (Bernice) of Cocagne, Emile (Laura) of Manchester, NH, Bertin (Georgina) of Toronto, and Laurie (Lorette) of Edmonton, Alberta, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by one brother, Roméo in 1975.
Visitation will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche, on Monday, April 12th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Tuesday, April 13th, 2010 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the Saint-Antoine l'Ermite Cemetery in Saint-Antoine. In Désiré's memory donations can be made to the family. Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
