The death of Joseph William McSheffery of Bath occurred on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at his home. Born March 28, 1931 in Moose Mountain, he was the son of the late William and Annie (Higgins) McSheffery and husband of Patricia (Doherty) McSheffery. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia; seven children, Dorothy McSheffery, William McSheffery (Alice Bubar), Joseph McSheffery, James McSheffery (Velvet), John McSheffery (Kimberly), Daniel McSheffery (Maura) and Mary MacLeod (Derrick); nine grandchildren, Megan, Joseph, Geneva, Sean, Ryan, Harris, Michael, Lauren and Amelia; siblings, Anne Kilfoil, Gerald McSheffery (Velda), Eugene McSheffery and Margaret Lavoie, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents two brothers, Raymond and John, two brothers in law, Charles Doherty and Harold Kilfoil.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207 Burnham Rd. Florenceville on Wednesday, April 21st, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 22nd, 2010 at 11:00 am from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bath with Fr. David Fulton as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Johnville Cemetery.
