January 28, 1922 - April 17, 2010 - It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband and father Robert Harold Wilson on Saturday, April 17, 2010. Bob was born in Saint John, NB on January 28, 1922, son of the late J. Harold Wilson and Mabel Elkin Wilson. He attended Mount Allison, managed the family business and met and married his wife Jean in Saint John. He enjoyed the summers at Long Reach and Parlee Beach and a nice long sail up the Kennebecasis with his best friend was an added bonus. The family moved to Montreal in 1966 due to his employment there and then on to Calgary in 1997. Bob is survived by his wife Jean (nee Pollock) Wilson and his wonderful children, John Richard, Janice Susan and son-in-law John L'Esperance. He also leaves two granddaughters, Jessica and Jacklyn at home; sister-in-law Ann Manning, brother-in-law Harold B. Jones; and nieces and nephews, Rebecca Schofield, Jeffrey Schofield, Jean Ann Mackenzie Jones (Steve), Bruce Jones, (Anita), Robert Manning (Dominique), Charles Manning, Richard Manning in the USA and Canada. He also leaves several great-nieces and nephews, Megan and Jennifer Schofield, Richard Jones, Caline Manning, and Shawn Manning. Bob was predeceased by his father, mother, brother John, sister Beatrice Schofield, and sister-in-law Rachel Jones. We will miss him.
