Shirley Margaret Rosbak (nee Jordan) passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 15, 2010 in Campbell River, B.C.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Harold, her sister Beth Chobotuck, her parents Edna (Gorby) and Russell Jordan.
She is survived by her daughter Lorna (Floyd) Lewis of Campbell River, B.C., son Paul (Fiona) Rosbak of Cambridge, New Zealand, grandsons Steven Lewis of Edmonton, Alberta, Luke (Jessica) Rosbak of Mt. Maunganui, New Zealand, granddaughters Angela (Jonathan) Cole of Victoria, B.C., Karina (Josh) Fox of Wellington, New Zealand, great grandchild Hazel Fox, brothers Milton (Donna) Jordan, Bill (Fran) Jordan, Ray Jordan, Doug (Carol) Jordan, sisters Kathleen (Bill) Vaughan, Faye (Ian) Macdonald, several nieces and nephews.
Shirley was the eldest of 8 children. She was born and raised at Kinistino, Sask. Shirley was a schoolteacher at Dover, Queen Maud and Horseshoe Bend. She enjoyed running the farm with Harold until their retirement. Together they traveled to Norway and several times to New Zealand, settling in Prince Albert, Sask.
Shirley loved life, her family and most of all her God Jehovah. She was keen to share her love of the scriptures and developed many fine friends in doing so.
When her health started to decline, Shirley came to live with her daughter in Campbell River, B.C.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 683 - 7th Street East, Prince Albert, Sask. Tea to follow at the East End Hall 2nd St & 10th Ave.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
