The death of Jennie Taber of Hampton, widow of Charles Taber, occurred April 22, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Bloomfield daughter of the late Percy and Helen (Dempster) Taber. Jennie graduated from Sussex High School in 1936 and Moncton School of Nursing in 1941. Jennie was a member of Women's Missionary Society of Central Norton United Baptist Church and was active in church activities throughout her life. She loved her last seven years at the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre, Hampton. She is survived by seven daughters, Lorraine Dickinson (Erbon), Ottawa, Shirley Gamble, Hampton, Lois Coffey (John), Saint John, Jean Wade (Hartley), Hampton, Marilyn Dunwell, Toronto, Evelyn Toner (Bernie), Saint John, Dale Taber, Saint John; two sons, Stephen Taber (Lorraine), Bloomfield, Lloyd Taber (Crystal), Hampton; one sister, Marie Smith, Port Perry, ON; one brother, Clair Taber (Audrey), Saint John; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers, Gerald, Weeden, Gordon and Leslie Taber and son-in-law Brian Gamble.
Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, with visitation Saturday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. The funeral will be held Sunday, 2:00pm, at Central Norton United Baptist Church, Bloomfield. Interment will take place in Hampton Rural Cemetery. Memorials to Central Norton United Baptist Church or the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre would be appreciated. www.reidsfh.com
