It is with great sadness that the family of the late Freda Guinchard announce her passing on Tuesday, May 5th, 2009 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in her 97th year. She will be sadly missed by her loving children: Stephen (Hilda) and Rendell, both of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Ina (John) Randell of Deer Lake and James (Geraldine) of Ontario; 13 grandchildren and a large number of great and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Hazel Eisan of Deer Lake; her sisters-in-law: Priscilla Moss, Margaret Moss and Rita Nichols. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She also leaves to mourn, her special nieces: Emma Knott and Edith Moss, and her special friend Shirley Nichols. She was predeceased by her husband, James; sisters: Mary, Bride, Emma, Edna, Marjorie and Jessie; brothers: George, John, Michael and Charles. Visitation will take place from Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel, 63 Northmain Street, Deer Lake, Thursday, May 7th, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Friday at 2:00 p.m. with Canon Meade officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot on Farm Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael’s & All Angels Accessibility Fund.
