It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Daniel Rudderham on Sunday, May 2, 2010, at the Northside General Hospital, North Sydney.
Born in Sydney Mines, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Johnena (MacKay) Rudderham.
Daniel proudly served his country in the Korean Conflict.
He truly loved his dogs and the great outdoors.
Daniel is survived by his daughters, Mary (Leonard) Lewis, Point Edward, Laura Ruddeham (Blane Page), Enfield, N.S., Grace (Curtis) White, Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., Nance Rudderham (Norman Saulnier). Barrie, Ont.; one son, Edwin (Denise) Rudderham, Grand Bend, Ont. He is also survived by his brothers, Carl (Ruth) Rudderham and Pliny Rudderham; as well as 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Besides his parents, Daniel was predeceased by his wife, Pearl (Hill), daughters, Linda and Roseanne Rudderham, sons, Ernest and Roger and three grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, Wednesday, May 5 from 12-2 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Mr. Kirk Neville officiating. Reception to follow. Interment to take place in Hardwood Hill Cemetery.
