It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edith Florence Hall (nee White) announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the age of 97 years. She will be sadly missed by her sons, James (Pauline) Alexander of Stephenville, Cletus (Alma) Alexander of Stephenville, Luke (Josephine) Alexander of Kippens, Myron (Joan) Alexander of Victoria, British Columbia, Richard (Rose) Alexander of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Terry (Genita) Alexander of St. John’s, daughters: Ina Head of Seneca, South Carolina, USA and Julia (Ted) Lane of Grand Falls-Windsor and brother, Andrew White, sisters: Hannah Nisbet, Edna Gafford and Constance Currie and numerous grandchildren (25 surviving), great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands, Telesphore Alexander and James Alban Hall, brothers, Charles, Felix, Leo, Stanley and Gilbert White, sisters: Evelyn Fisher and Elizabeth Hessheimer, sons: Francis David Alexander, Conrad Joseph Alexander, Edward Robert Alexander and Gilbert John Alexander and grandchildren: Elaine Alexander and David Bradley Alexander. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, May 9th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with Interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
