At Hotel-Dieu of Saint Joseph Hospital, Perth-Andover, May 26, 2010, Mr. Osborne Christensen of New Denmark passed away at the age of 73. He was the husband of Glenna (Nielsen) Christensen. Born at New Denmark in 1937, he was the last surviving child of the late Clarence and Sadie (McLellan) Christensen. Ozzie was a retired supervisor with the New Brunswick Department of Transportation with 33 years of dedicated service, having retired early due to illness. Besides his wife, he is survived by three children, Lorna Clyde (David) of Fredericton, Pamela Giberson (Rocky) of Plaster Rock and Brent Christensen (Joanne) of New Denmark, two grandchildren, Josh Clyde and Ethan Johnson, as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three brothers, Elmer, Donald and Luther.
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Friday from 7-9 p.m. On Saturday, May 29th, he will be resting at the Bethany Lutheran Church, New Denmark from 2 until 3 p.m. at which time a funeral service will be celebrated by Pastor David Knudson followed by interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
