COLLINS-YORKE, Sarah - 94, of New Canaan, Cumberland Co. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan with family by her side. Born in New Canaan, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Augusta (Skidmore) Brown. She, with her husband, operated a family blueberry business for many years. She was Past Deputy Grand Chief of Riverside Temple, Southampton and was Past District Deputy President of the Blomidon Rebecca Lodge, Parrsboro. She was a member of the New Canaan United Church and later the Southampton United Church. She is survived by sons, Merlyn (Helen), New Canaan; George (Joyce), Southampton; Corlas (Arlene), Diligent River; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Thornton Collins in 1980; second husband, Cyril Yorke in 1998; sisters, Violet, Frances, Lillian; brothers, Leo, Leslie, Thomas. Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today [Thursday, June 10, 2010] at Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 2 p.m. Friday [June 11, 2010] at the Southampton United Church, Rev.
