The death occurred at the Dr. John Gillis Memorial Lodge, Eldon, on Monday, June 14, 2010, of Mr. J. Alfred Currie, formerly of Moreau Drive, Charlottetown, in his 84th year.
Beloved husband of Helen (nee McKearney) Currie, and dear father of Marilyn (Lloyd) MacLeod, Leonard (Marjorie), and Kevin (Cindy). He will also be lovingly remembered by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Adele Brulé and Rita Doiron.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, June 16, at 10 a.m. Interment later in the family plot at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Alfred's memory may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation or the IWK Health Centre Foundation.
