It is with great sadness we announce the sudden loss of "Jerry". He was born and raised in Moose Jaw, graduating from Central Collegiate in 1957. Jerry began his distinguished and prominent career as a Chartered Accountant and businessman by articling with
Ken Van Iderstine. After receiving his Chartered Accountant degree in 1962; two years later he became a partner in Van Iderstine, Noren and Co. which led to G.E. Noren and Partners in 1985. He retired after a successful and fulfilling career where he enjoyed his winters in Arizona. Jerry was a recognized leader and supporter of many prominent community ventures within Moose Jaw.
Jerry was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary, of 49 years, who sadly passed away in November 2009; and parents Ed and Doris. He is survived by brother Jim (Susan); special friend Christa Retford, brothers-in-law Mike (Darlene) Hrechka; Bill (Bev) Hrechka and sisters-in-law Kathy (Leo) Shull; and Anne (Bill) McGinnis; and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who played a very special part in "Unc's" life. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 18th, 2010 at 2:00 pm in Hillcrest Apostolic Church, 1550 Main St. N., Moose Jaw, SK. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Sask., 279 3rd Ave. N., Saskatoon, SK., S7K 2H8. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all.
