Roy, beloved husband, devoted Daddy, was taken from us suddenly and tragically on June 13th. Born in Prince George to Donald and Margaret Crawford (both predeceased), it was at the University of New Brunswick where he met and married Vanessa McLean of North West River, Labrador. In Athabasca, Alberta, their loving home was blessed with their two beautiful daughters, Elizabeth and Rebecca. In 2008, the Crawfords relocated to Nanaimo, where they built a wide circle of friends and co-workers, and hosted numerous visits by relatives and friends from throughout Canada. Also left with cherished memories of their devoted brother are Patsy Crawford (Prince George), Victor Crawford (Prince George), Carol Clark (Edmonton), Marion Comeau (Edmonton), and David Crawford (Ottawa). Uncle Roy will be forever remembered by his nieces and nephews Tess, Leni, Talis, Tyler, Will, Adair, Payton, and Emma, and deeply missed by the entire extended Crawford and McLean families. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 21st at First Memorial Funeral Chapel at 1720 Bowen Road, Nanaimo, at 10:00 a.m., with burial and luncheon to follow.
