Mr. Albert Leander Young of Sussex passed away peacefully on June 20, 2010 at the age of 69. Albert is survived by his wife, Cathy Young; two daughters: Sylvia Norrad of Kingston and Berdena Green (Earl) of Saint John; Two sons: Douglas of Manitoba and Larry (Michelle) of Saskatchewan; the mother of his children, Melitta Hewlett; six brothers: Clayton, David (Ethel), Jim, Ronald (Florence), all of Newfoundland, Gerald (Trudy) and Geddis (Ivy) all of PEI; four sisters: Ellen Shiner (Rodman), Nina Janes (Raymond), Mabel Young and Bessie Welshmen (Malcolm) all of Newfoundland; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his good friend, Richard Munro of Sussex; as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister, Lydia; two infant brothers: George and Steward and by his sister-in-law, Laura Young.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. A Celebration of Albert's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 11:00 am.
