1928-2010 - Miramichi - Michael Lloyd, husband of the late Rose V. Lloyd, of Bridgeview Drive, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Friday afternoon, June 25, 2010, at the age of 81. Born in Chatham, on October 23, 1928, he was the son of the late Michael and Ethel (Astles) Lloyd. He was a twenty-one year retired employee of N.B. Telephone Co. Ltd. and attended St. Samuels Roman Catholic Church, Miramichi. He is survived by one daughter, Mary Lloyd,of Moncton; three sons, Charles Lloyd (Leslie), of Sylvan Lake, AB, George Lloyd (Lynn), of Miramichi, William Lloyd (Lucie), of Ottawa, Ont.; eleven grandchildren, Mandy, Adam, Bethany, Veronica, Joshua, Katlyn, Mikey, Tracy, Kendall, Pascale, Angelic; seven great grandchildren, Kyle, Raven, Tyler, Jasmine, Sarah, Livia, Kaidence; one sister Pearl LaTulippe, of Miramichi; two brothers, George Lloyd and Earl Lloyd (Verona), all of Miramichi; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Rose Keoughan, in 2008.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Sunday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Please note, vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon, at 2 pm. Mass of Christian will be celebrated from St. Samuels Roman Catholic Church, on Monday, June 28, 2010, at 11 am, conducted by Father Maurice Swift. Interment will be in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Oncology Outpatient Clinic or the Palliative Care Unit of the Miramichi Regional Hospital, would be appreciated by the family.
