With saddened hearts the family announces the passing of our mother at age 75 at Henderson Hospital Hamilton, Ont., on Wednesday, June 30, 2010, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Born April 10, 1935, in New Waterford, N.S., loving mother to her daughters, Margaret Perreault (Paul), Carmel Roach (Karen), Sheilah Roach, Louise Elgersma (Brian) and Nicole Dubovski (Jerry); dear grandmother to Allen, Colene, Patrick, Daryl, Brian, Joseph, Jacqueline, Alex, Jacob and Tiffany; great-grandmother to Devin and Leif. Predeceased by Marcellin Roach (1995).
Brothers and sisters, Francis Cashin and his late wife Mary of British Columbia, Theresa and Jack Butler of Newfoundland, Marjory and the late Matthew Cashen of British Columbia, Bernice and the late Gregory Cashin of British Columbia, Roddy and the late Leona Eldridge of Nova Scotia, the late Rose and Stephen MacNeil of Nova Scotia, all children of the late Simon J. Chasin and Mathida Hawley of Nova Scotia.
The family would like to thank the caring staff of Henderson Hospital.
A memorial will take place Saturday, July 17, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Bay Gardens Funeral Home (behind Royal Botanical Gardens, Burlington, Ont., 905-527-0405.
