Mary Elizabeth (nee Galen) Cassidy - On July 6th, 2010 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late J.A.W. (Bill) Cassidy. She was born and educated in Fredericton, N.B. where she taught school before moving to Lachine. She continued her teaching career in Lachine where she taught for many years at St-Joseph's School. A believer in community volunteer work, she served over a long period in a number of capacities with the Lachine General Hospital Auxiliary and the V.O.N. For more than fifty years she was an active and devoted member of Resurrection of Our Lord Parish, Lachine, during which time she became a Life Member of the Catholic Women's League. Resting at the J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, 560 Lakeshore Dr. Dorval, QC., H9S 2B3. Visitation on Tuesday, July 13th, from 2 to 5 pm and from 7 to 10 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 14th, 2010 at 11 am at St. Edmund of Canterbury Church, Beaconsfield. Interment at a later date in Pointe Claire, QC. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
