Passed away suddenly on Monday, July 12, 2010, in his 61st year of Holyrood. Predeceased by his father Cyril J. Downey. Left with fond and loving memories are his daughters: Leigh Anne Hubley (Chris) and Carly Cake; his grandchildren: Michael Tyler Downey, Nicolas Jones and Christie Hubley; his mother Gladys Mary, his brothers: Robert J. and David; his sisters: Colleen Thistle, Christine Downey and Elizabeth Carroll, numerous nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends. At Michael's request cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving visitors beginning at 2 p.m. with a formal celebration of Michael's life at 3 p.m. at Dunphy's Funeral Home on Saturday, July 17, 2010.
