The death of Gerald "Gerry" Leland Hourihan, occurred on July 17, 2010 at the Sussex Health Centre at the age of 68. Born in Roachville, a son of the late Wilfred and Beulah (Starkey) Hourihan and was the husband of Elaine (Buchanan) Hourihan of Apohaqui. As well as Elaine, he is survived by his daughter Dana Hourihan (Mike Perrie) of Apohaqui, grandsons; Devon and Donovan Cripps, sisters; Joyce Hawthorne of Victoria, BC and Carol Brown of Apohaqui, brothers; Raymond (Jeannine) Hourihan of Apohaqui and James Hourihan of Sussex, sister-in-law Liz Hourihan of California and brother-in-law Graham Buchanan (Mary Dunn) of Sussex Corner, two nieces, six nephews and several cousins. Gerry was predeceased by a brother Harold and brothers-in-law Bob Brown and Thomas Hawthorne.
The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 11:00AM at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, Sussex. Interment will be at Wards Creek Cemetery.
