Passed peacefully away on July 16, 2010 at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Centre, Botwood, Herbert Robert Curlew of Pleasantview. He was 81 years of age. He was a quiet man who enjoyed rabbit catching and fishing. He was predeceased by his parents Samuel and Blanche; brothers, Donald, Fred; sisters, Georgina (Clayton) Warford, Lenora (William) Curlew; brothers-in-law, Fred Brett and Maxwell Stuckless. Leaving to mourn are his sisters, Frances Brett, Mae (Ronald) Langdon, Ethel (Arthur) Brett, Marjorie Stuckless; brothers, Raymond (Margaret), Ford; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Stephen Barbour conducted funeral services at Bethany United Church, Pleasantview, Monday, July 19, 2010 with interment at the United Church Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were by Hoskins Funeral Homes, Botwood. Pallbearers were Harry Brett, Hedley Curlew, Will Curlew, Andrew Stuckless, Fitzgerald Stuckless and John Warford.
