Passed peacefully on July 28th after a short stay in hospital. Predeceased by her parents William (1964) and Annie Greene Patterson (1979), and her brother William in 2009. Barbara will be truly missed by those who loved her much and always. Mourning her passing, yet celebrating and being thankful for having her in our lives, are her sister-in-law Ettie Patterson and her 11 nieces and nephews: Judy, Barbara (the late Ted French), Joan (Eugene Lye), Rita (Allan McLeod), Linda (Reg Ryan), Bill (Annie Dray), Ann Marie (Martin Cahill), David (Marion Hapgood), Sharon (Oliver Dickie), Liz (Phil Smith), Sandra. Barbara was a great aunt to 18 and a great-great aunt to nine children. Her cousin Gladys and family and so many dear friends and relatives will also miss her as she was an inspiration to so many people. As Barbara was so giving and loved the outdoor garden, in lieu of flowers, consider giving to a charity of choice or perhaps, a neighbor in need. Planting a flower in her memory is another way to honor this incredibly fine woman. Visitation at Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia on Thursday, July 29th from 10 am-10 pm.
