Suddenly at his late residence in Ascension on Monday July 27, 2010 of Roy Joseph Gavin, aged 60 years. Born on August 3, 1950 he was the son of the late Cletus and Laura (nee Harper) Gavin. He is survived by his wife the former Elizabeth May Taylor. Loving father to Jenny (Terry) Mansfield of Stratford Ont., Dodi (Dwayne) Bailey of Souris, P.E.I. and R.J (Jenny) of Fredericton, N.B. Cherished grandfather to Becky, Meaghan, Nathan and Emma. Dear brother to Dora (Clifford) Gavin of Tignish, Marion (Ralph) Perry of Tignish, Emmett (Diane) of Ont., Jimmy (Michelle) of Ont., Lloyd (Judy) of Tignish, Ralph of Tignish, Gloria Gavin of Stratford, Hilda (Guy) Moore of Stratford Ont., Danny of Tignish, Patsy (Cyrus) Gallant of Piusville and Kimberly (Myron) Blanchard of Bloomfield. He was predeceased by brothers Ronald, Cletus, Howard and Brian. In keeping with Roy's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. If so desired, memorials to the Tignish Fire Department or to a charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated.
