NORMAN (Milbery), Karolyn Jean - of Yarmouth and Delta, B.C. Sadly the family announces the passing of a dear wife, mother, grandmother and sister on July 19, 2010 in the Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock, B.C. Born on August 8, 1934 in Yarmouth, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Alena (Hicks) Milbery. After high school, she worked at Maritime Tel & Tel, later moving to Edmonton and joined Edmonton Tel & Tel then finishing her career with B.C. Tel & Tel, Ship to Shore Communications. For a short time she joined the Zellers Company until her retirement. She was a member of the Gilmore United Church, Richmond, B.C. where she worked tirelessly for others and served on many boards. She was an avid reader and gardener. She would often say "I know I will be a gardener for the Lord in Heaven." She will be deeply missed and always be in our hearts. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Mike; son, Geoffrey (Stephanie); grandchildren, Parker and Cassidy, both of Louisville, KY, who were the love of her life; sisters, Margo (Don) Fraser, Dartmouth; Louise (Ron) Bain, Yarmouth; brother, Richard Milbery, Bridgewater; and other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Alena; brothers, Ken, Arnold, Loran, Loran and George; nephew, Robert. Funeral service was held at the Gilmore United Church, Richmond, B.C. A family graveside service will be held at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Yarmouth Co. at a later date.
