It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of William "Bill" A. Harris, 63, on Sunday, August 1, 2010 while on a visit to the Miramichi. Born in Doaktown, he was the oldest son of the late Reginald Harris and Georgina Davidson Weaver. He was the much loved husband of Marilla (Seeley) Harris; dearest dad to Mark (Jennifer) of Montreal, PQ, twins, Amy of Vancouver and David (Bethany Donovan) of Moncton and Kate of Moncton. He was proud Papa to his first grandchildren, Anna (19 months) and Will (3 months); sisters, Ellen Lombardo (Carl), Dartmouth, NS, Margaret Boyce, Dallas, Texas; younger brother, Peter (Deb), Harris, SK; three nieces; two nephews; two aunts, Jean Jardine and Edna Mitchell; many cousins and many, many friends. He leaves to mourn his sisters-in-law, Muriel Carter (Bob), Anne Buck (Kenneth), Jeanne Lipscombe (Gary), who, with their families, add many more nieces and nephews who will be very saddened by his loss. Bill was the founder and president of Action Fasteners Ltd. since incorporation in 1975, until retiring from active daily involvement in recent years. Bill will be missed by his many associates through his work and personal life, who all enjoyed and will miss his laughter and the fun they shared with their easy going friend. Besides his work and family, Bill enjoyed the peace and quiet of his home on Caledonia Mountain, with Callie and Allie, his two border collies. He enjoyed skidooing, sea-dooing, four-wheeling, fishing in his fishpond, hunting (watching deer from the tree), moose hunting, NASCAR racing and visits with the cousins in recent years.
