Freda Simonds Richardson; 98 of North Head, Grand Manan, N.B. passed away one Thursday, August 12th at the Oromocto Hospital, Oromocto, N.B. Born in Tracy Mills, N.B. The daughter of the late Reuel and Geneve (Simonds) Barrett of Tracy Mills, N.B. Mrs. Richardson was a school teacher for 321/2 years, nine years in Port Coleburn, Ont., and nineteen years at Grand Manan Elementary. She was a member if the North Head Baptist Church, and taught Sunday School for several years, a member of the Atlantic Baptist Ladies Missionary Society, a former member of the Grand Manan Helping Hands Club, and also the leader of the Junior Red Cross when she was a teacher at Port Coleburn.
Mrs. Richardson is survived by one daughter Nancy (James) Goddard of St. Stephen, one son Ronald (Stella) Richardson of Port Coleburn, ON., five grandchildren and eight Great Grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Mr. Farrel Garth Richardson and one brother Charles Barrett.
The family will receive friends and relatives at Ells Funeral Home Inc., Grand Harbour on Sunday 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held from the North Baptist Church on Monday, August 16th, at 1:30 PM with Rev. Ron Ford officiating assisted by Rev.
