Passed away peacefully on August 18, 2010 at the Brampton Civic Hospital, Brampton, Ontario.
Robert was the son of the late John Porteous and Gladys (nee Trecartin) of Saint John, New Brunswick. Beloved husband of 57 years to Irene of Brampton, loving father to Donald (Muriel) of Kanata Ontario, and Linda (Bob Botham) of Brampton. Cherished grandfather of Heather and Marshall Botham. He was predeceased by his brother John in 1995. Robert will be sadly missed by his many family and friends.
Friends will be received at the Brampton Memorial Chapel & Visitation Centre (10061 Chinguacousy Rd, at Bovaird) 905-460-9155 on Friday from 6 to 9pm. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday August 21, 2010 at 1:30pm. Interment Brampton Memorial Gardens. If so desired, donations can be made to Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation.
