It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Blaise Gouthro. He died peacefully in his sleep on Aug. 29, 2010, no longer in pain.
Blaise was predeceased by his mother, Shirley Gouthro.
Left to mourn are his father, Bernie Gouthro; his brothers, Daryl Gouthro, Vancouver, Trevor Gouthro, Fort McMurray and his sister, Raylene MacKinnon (Ross) of Fort McMurray. Longtime companion Donna; sons, John and Chris and grandson, Cian.
A memorial service will be held at The Oasis, 9008-158th Street, Surrey, B.C. on Sept. 11, 2010 from 1 to 3 p.m.

“Blaise has been my best friend for over 26 years. I will miss his smile, laughter and the twinkle in his eye. My sympatha to his friends back home and his family. For years he regaled all of his friends on the West coast with his adventures back home.... he was a great storey teller and quite the talker. We will all miss his sense of humer and laughter. No one could have had a better friend than Blaise.”

“It was over the Fence_folks reunion weekend , that of course we talked about each and every character, who, just like each one of us had a story attached to them, and we spoke on many occasions of" Blaise", to numerous folks who knew him to be such a "one of a kind" .Certainly , speaking for myself as I knew Blaise, he was bigger than life , and always full of the mischievious but good hearted fun and I still remember him in that same way today as i hear of his passing...my sincere condolences to everyone of the family and to his good friend donna..thoughts with you....”
