It is with great sorrow that the family of the late Alice May Parsons (nee Hunt) announce her passing on September 4th, 2010, at the age of 92. Alice leaves to mourn, with much love and admiration, sons: Austin (Lorna), Weldon (Diane), and Foster; grandchildren: Brenda, Darren, Austin Jr., Kimberly, Allison, Kerri-Ann, Kelly, Lisa; great-grandchildren: Kevin, Cody, Jordan, Shane, Tyler, Brady, Trent and Bryson; brother, Frank (Josephine), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and dear friends. Alice was predeceased by her beloved husband, Tom Parsons; parents, George and Mary Hunt; brothers: George, Herbert and Walter and sisters: Florence, Ursula, Lucy, Anne and by her granddaughter, Theresa Hunt. Friends paid their respects at St. Paul's Anglican Church in Summerside on Sunday, September 5th, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, September 6th from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon. The funeral service followed, commencing at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Malcolm Palmer officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Cancer Society of Canada in memory of Alice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home in Corner Brook.
