It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ellen (Nell) Fitzpatrick announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing, on Monday, September 6, 2010, at the age of 86 years. She will be sadly missed by her son, Robert (Melissa) of Stephenville; daughter, Colleen (Dave) of Stephenville; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Fitzpatrick of Halifax; brother, Bill (Therese) Murphy of Kings Cove; sister, Hilda Ryan of Kings Cove; four grandchildren: Lindsay Fitzpatrick, Meghan Fitzpatrick, both of Halifax, and Susan Green and Michael Fitzpatrick, both of Stephenville and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Tom Fitzpatrick on December 21, 2002 and five sons: Thomas, Tommy, Barry, Gerald and Fred. Friends may call at Russell's Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, September 9th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen's Parish, West Street, Stephenville. Cremation will take place after the funeral and interment will take place at a later date at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Kings Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
