It is with sadness that we, the family of Angelina, announce her passing on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, in Port Hawkesbury.
Born in Glace Bay, Angelina was the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Burnett) Tarso.
Angelina loved music, laughter, ice cream and life, but most especially, her family with whom she shared the secrets of how to live and cherish every drop of life that God had given her. She is our hero.
Angelina is survived by her sons, Percy (Flossie) Shelley, Truro, Eric (Bev) Shelley, British Columbia, Calvin Shelley, Reserve Mines; daughters, Yvonne (Ken) Turnbull, Reserve Mines, Josephine (Paul) Prince, Dominion, Rita (Bernie) Boutilier, Port Hawkesbury; brother, Mario Tarso, Halifax; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, John Shelley, second husband, Robert Angell, brothers, Joseph, Anthony, Peter, sisters, Pearl, Mary and Georgina.
Angelina will be sadly missed and never forgotten ... Love ya Babes!
Visitation for Angelina will be held Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating. A private family interment will be held in Centerville Cemetery, Reserve Mines.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Angelina's memory may be made to Palliative Care in Sydney or Port Hawkesbury.
