RICHES, Maurice "Bert" - 86, Amherst, passed away at home on September 12, 2010. He was born on April 29, 1924, in London England. A veteran of WWII he was in the British Navy. He severed in the East and West Camp in Yarmouth. A member of the Legion he belonged to the Pugwash Branch #60. Surviving are his step-daughter; Theresa (Francis) Davis, Yarmouth; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Ella Mae (Kelsey) and by his parents. A visitation was held on Thursday at 7-9 PM with a Royal Canadian Legion service at 7:30 PM. A funeral Mass took place on Friday September 10 at 10 AM from the St Ambrose Cathedral, Yarmouth. Interment followed at the Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Father John MacPherson officiated. Memorial donations may be made to a the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to H. M.
