Al was born October 13, 1927, in Charlottetown, P.E.I. He spent his early years on the family farm in Pownal, moved to Victoria, B.C., in 1946 then to Powell River in 1964.
He is survived by Jessie, his wife of 60 years; son, Wayne (Suzy); daughters, Lynne (Jack), Judy (Roelof), Alma (Brian); nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Al is survived by his sister, Muriel Mutch (Charlie), and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Claude, Charl, George and Ruth.
There will be a sharing of memories of Al at the Celebration of Life at the Cranberry Seniors Centre, Powell River, B.C., Saturday, October 2 at 1 p.m.
