With family at his side, Ron, of Cedarwood Village, Simcoe, formerly of McAdam, N.B., was Promoted to Glory from the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe on Saturday, October 16, 2010. Ron was born in Calhouns, N. B. 84 years ago. Beloved husband for 62 years of Bea (nee DeWitt). Dear father of Daisy Lee and husband Marvin Levy of Maryland and Peggy Atkinson and her husband Richard Mawle of Simcoe. Loving grandfather of Tammy (Joe Darrow), Trevor (Jolene), Tracy, Melissa and Tristin Mawle and several great grandchildren. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Brother and brother-in-law of the late Raymond Atkinson, Rita Atkinson of Hillsborough, N.B., Geraldine and Reg Milton of Hopewell Cape, N.B. and Elsie and Willard Horseman of Bridgewater, N.S. Ron served overseas in W.W. 11, Korea and retired from the R.C.A.F.
Friends are invited to call at COOPER FUNERAL HOME, 19 Talbot Street West, Jarvis on Monday from 6 to 8 p,.m. Funeral Service for Ron will be held at The Salvation Army Simcoe Community Church, 183 Colborne Street North on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow with the interment to take place at Rockland Cemetery in McAdam, N.B. at a later date.
