It is with great sadness the family announces the death of Margaret (Myers) Daigle, the wife of the late Joseph “Sonny” O. Daigle, on November 2, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB. Born at Blacks Harbour, NB on February 25, 1936 she was a daughter of the late James and Hilda (Gaudet) Myers. Margaret is survived by her children; Dan (Shirley) of Greenwood, NS, Laura (Pat) Gellately, Lana (Everett) Beierbach and Timothy (Karen) Daigle all of Alberta, grandchildren; Michael, Tara, Steven, Chris, Josh, Payson and Daniel, two great grandchildren; Caden and Ethan, one sister, Mary Myers of St. Andrews, NB, one nephew and several cousins. In addition to her husband, Sonny, she was predeceased by brothers William and Frederick. Prior to her retirement, Margaret worked as an officer clerk for the Federal Government. She was an avid knitter and enjoyed to crochet afghans. She was known to have a lovely collection of angels. She was a member of the C.W.L. of Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Blacks Harbour, NB. She will be missed by her family and many friends.
Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB with visiting on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Blacks Harbour, NB on Saturday at 11 am with Father Paul LeBlanc officiating followed by the interment at the parish cemetery. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret’s memory to the Charlotte County Cancer Society, the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
