It is with great sadness that the family of the late Abraham House announce his passing on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 75 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 49 years Effie House; 7 daughters: Suzanne (Al), Loretta (Rob), Eleanor (Gordon), Bernetta (Billy), Cathy (Michael), Lorna (Anthony) and Phoebe (Jeff); 11 grandchildren: Colin (Nicole), Leah (Tony), Stephen, Julie (Mark), Danny (Tori), Benjamin, Dylan, Kyle, Kaleigh Ann, Nicole and Lucas; 6 great-grandchildren: Ava, Alex, Nicholas, Noah, Bentley and Logan; special niece Colleen (Ferlin) Murrin; brothers: James (Flossie), Herbert (Barbara) and David (Fay); sisters: Sylvia (Chesley) and Betty (Derek); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Vivian Rebecca House, parents Stanley and Susannah House, sisters Bertha and Inez. Friends may visit St. James' Anglican Church in Gillams on Tuesday from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 8 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Malcolm Palmer officiating. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
