It is with sadness that the families of the late Gordon Bruce Stroud announce his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, aged 56 years. Gordon is predeceased by his parents, Bert and Ivy Stroud; brother, Albert. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are: his wife, Voila; children, Bruce, Christopher, and Shelley (Lou) Bennett, Jamie Folks (Natasha Waugh), and Ronnie (April) Folks; grandchildren, Candice, Jessica, Colby, Sara, and Morgan; bothers, John, Ray (Daphne) Baxter (Mary), Terry (Cathy), Gary(Marie), Leonard (Charlene) Derek (Evelina), and Dale(Deborah); sisters, Jennie (Arthur) Champion, Elizabeth (John) Cameron, Peggy Romanyshyn, Christina (Lewis) Rowsell, Judy (Bruce) Stagg, Sharon (Bernard) Humphries, Deborah (Brian) Raymond, Cynthia (Willie) Salopek, Brenda (Terry) Jesseau, and Bonnie Stroud;sister-in-law Daphne; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. The funeral service took place Friday, December 10, 2010 at 2 pm from the St Alban's Anglican Church with Rev. Glen Small officiating. Flowers were greatly accepted as well in his memory donation were made to the Janeway Children's Hospital. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street.
