NEW GLASGOW - Antoinette MacAulay, 92, of the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Dover Avenue, New Glasgow, and Pugwash, passed away December 21, 2010 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Den Haag, Holland, she was a daughter of the late Petrus Stephanus Ignatius and Wilhelmina Johanna (Timmermaos) Exler.
She was a resident of the manor for the past five years having previously resided at Dover Avenue in New Glasgow and Pugwash.
She is survived by sons: Robert (Emilie), Whitby, Ont; Mark (Sheila), Alberta; and Perry, New Glasgow; a daughter, Dorothy MacAulay-Himsl, Whitby, Ont; 12 grandchildren: Rob, Jason, Amanda, Tanya, Kelly, Jennifer, Mark, Kayde, Stephen, Lukas, Keygan and Kane; six great-grandchildren: Emma, Macaulay, Grace, Kate, Ewan and Robbie; a brother, Antonius, Holland; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Carlyle MacAulay, brothers, Maxmilliaan and Bemardus; sisters: Anna, Wilhelmina, Maria, Gertruida and Theodora.
Cremation to take place. There will be no visitation at the request of the deceased. A memorial service and burial will take place in Pugwash at a later date.
Donations in memory of Antoinette may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Arthritis Society of Nova Scotia.
