PINEO, Vera Doris - 77, Wilmot Station, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, January 8, 2011 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Wilmot, NS, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Jean (Bowlby) Noble. Vera was a long time Wilmot resident, a caring, loving mother and was a housewife who enjoyed her family and many friends. A special closeness with her sister Mary brought her comfort. Thanks to Soldiers Memorial Hospital staff, the VON nurses with Katrina Patterson and Dr. McGuire and Dr. Burgess. The continuous support of close neighbours and friends - Barbara Weagle and The Noble Family - George, Doreen, Donna and Debbie. Her son Richard provided excellent care until the hospital time became necessary. She is survived by her daughters, Shelia (Bill) Simpson, Ottawa; Dawn (Blair) Sweeney, Charlottetown, PEI; sons, Christopher ( Liette) Pineo, Porter's Lake; Richard Pineo, Wilmot; sisters, Mary Noble, Middleton and Evelyn Doyle, Winnipeg, MB; brother, George (Doreen) Noble, Wilmot; and eight grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Harold and brother, William. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held Thursday, January 13, 2011 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902)825-3448. Rev. Leon Langille officiated. A reception for family and friends followed the service. Interment will be in the Wiswall Cemetery, Wilmot at a later date. By request, there will be no visitation and family flowers only.
