Sid married Lorraine Schaitel on November 28, 1953 at Swift Current, Saskatchewan. They began their life together on the homestead farm and continued farming until 1999. During that time Sid's passion was farming, but he did find time for fishing, hunting, curling, socializing with neighbours and friends. He also followed his children with sporting events and extra-curricular activities and when his children moved on, the cycle began again with his grandchildren. It was very important to him that the first fish the grandchildren caught was in his boat. When the lake froze over, then came hockey, skating, and during other seasons dancing, swimming, soccer, ball, track meets, volleyball, checkers and cards. Lorraine and Family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kassett and staff of the Herbert/Morse Integrated Health Care Facility. In Sid's memory, donations can be made to the Herbert/Morse Integrated Health Care Facility, 405 Herbert St, Herbert, Sk. S0H 2A0. Warren's Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
