We the family of William Robert 'Bob' Jillette regret to announce his passing on Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at his residence in Miramichi, N.B.
He served in the army during the Korean War, and continued for another 26 years with the Armed Forces. As well, he was a very talented musician and carpenter. He also enjoyed spending time using his computer.
Devoted husband of Daisy (nee Griffin) of 60 years; loving father of 10 children, Marie (Steve) Golding of Caledon, Ont., Lorraine (Rick) Rutter of Vegreville, Alta., Bob (Lise) Jillette of Ottawa, Ont., David (Rose) Jillette of Port aux Basques, N.L., Susan Jillette (Peter den Dikkenboer) of Rigaud, Que., Mary Mailman and partner (Allan Violette) of Lethbridge, Alta., Tom (Audrey) Jillette of Winnipeg, Man., Anthony Jillette and partner (Theresa Piovesan) of Halifax, N.S., Louis Jillette and fiancée (Andrea Gloor) of Ottawa, Ont., Lisa Dawson of Springhill, Fla., USA. Dear grandfather of 10 grandsons and three granddaughters and great-grandfather of five great-grandchildren. Survived by sisters, Shirley, Mae and Jean; and brother, Chesley, Glace Bay, N.S.
Predeceased by sister, Florence and brother, Jim.
A memorial service will be held at a future date in Glace Bay, N.S.
Cremation to take place in Campbellton, N.B. Arrangements under the direction of Maher's Funeral Home, Miramichi, N.B.
