Dorothy Elizabeth (Northrup) Scott of Hoyt, NB passed away at her home on January 29, 2011 at the age of 87. She was born in Belleisle Creek August 22, 1923 to Norman and Alexandra (Crawford) Northrup. Dorothy was a member of Patterson United Church and was a Homemaker to her four children. She loved knitting, quilting, gardening, feeding and watching the birds and doing puzzles. Most special to her were the family gatherings when she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her husband (61 years) William (Bill) Scott; three daughters: Elizabeth Eastwood (Ronald), Wirral, Patricia Richardson, Charters Settlement, Sandra Harron (Richard), Tracyville; one son, Robert Scott, Calgary, AB; one sister, Mary Moland, Chester, NS; five grandchildren: Shelley Currier (Chaun), Michael Eastwood (Jodi), Jamie Eastwood (Jennifer), David and Stephen Harron; four great grandchildren: Thomas and Anthony, and Jordan and Sally; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by son-in-law, Burton Richardson; two sisters: Amy Tuckey and Grace Northrup; three brothers: Edgar, Howard, and Sandy; one brother-in-law, David Moland.
Honoring Dorothy's request, there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be from Sunbury Funeral Home on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Jeffro Bursey officiating. Interment will be in the Patterson Cemetery at a later date. You may express your sympathy by making a donation to a charity of your choice.
