We are so very sad to announce the passing of our dear son, brother, uncle and friend. Neil passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends on Thursday, February 10th, 2011. He leaves to mourn: his mother, Nina and father, John; brothers: John (Snoopy), Rocky Harbour, Colin (Kathleen), Lower Sackville, NS, and Barry (Carolyn), Corner Brook; nephews: Gregory, Tylor, Matthew, Nicholas, Alexander, Daniel and his niece Sara; uncles and aunts: Robert Grant and family, Corner Brook, Carolyn Howard and family Minnesota, Emily LeMessurier and family, Ontario, Jean and Carol Hoffe and family, New Hampshire, Lida and Reg Pretty and family, Sarnia, ON, Enid and Nellie Pittman and family, John and Greta Butt and family, and Orellia Butt and family, all of Rocky Harbour; his very special friends: Cathy Maulucci and her daughter Jessica, Tonawanda, N.Y, Sue, Ron, Megin (Goddaughter), Devin, Corner Brook, Nora Walsh and Alva Brake, Corner Brook; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Saturday evening, 7-9:00 p.m. and Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 14th, at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Church, Park Street, Reverend Myles Vardy officiating, followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation graciously accepted.
