Margie Mahon - 100, of Middleton passed away peacefully on February 4, 2011 at the Annapolis Royal Nursing Home. Born in Nakusp, BC she was the last surviving member of 10 children born to the late Jacob and Mary (Klassen) Friesen. She was predeceased by her husband James. She is survived by daughter Lois (John) Carry, North Vancouver; son Donald (Jude) Mahon, New Zealand; daughter Joan (Syd) Kingham, Middleton; grandchildren, Blair, Gregg, Lorn, Karen, Tracy and Xavie; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren living all over the world and who were all in Middleton in May of 2010 to celebrate Margie’s 100th birthday. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Margie had a full life traveling the world. Her love of music and piano playing gave her great joy and rewards, as did her love of God. The family wishes to thank the staff of Annapolis Royal Nursing Home for their love, care and kindness to Margie. Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be taken to Victoria, BC for a family memorial service and to rest beside her husband. Donations in memory may be made to the Middleton Baptist Church.
