Peacefully, surrounded by her family Connie passed away at Kennebec Manor on March 7, 2011. Connie was the loving wife of the late Harry J. Burley. She was born in Saint John on December 31, 1929 and was the daughter of Harvey and Annie (Shannon) Johnston. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and will be sadly missed by all. She will be remembered by her son Harry (Dawn) Burley; daughters Susan (Fred) Ingraham, Marion (Larry Schill) Mackin; Kathryn (Michael) Maguire; grandchildren Tanya (Paul), Michael (Jenn), Glendon (Andrea), Amanda (Simeon), Mitchell, Tara (Ryan), Colton, Mary-Kathryn; great-grandchildren Colin, Madison, Quinn, Macullam, Cooper; sisters Vera Taylor, Shirley McNeill, Donna Daggett (Larry). She will also be missed by sisters in law Joan Johnston, Marjorie Johnston, Betty Johnston; brother in law Jim Smith, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Connie was also predeceased by her brothers Donald, Burton, Raymond, Earl "Bud", and sister Eleanor.
Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701) with visiting on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 from 2 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Castle Funeral Home. A Reception will follow at Fallsview Family Reception Centre. Donations in Connie's memory could be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Juvenile Diabetes Society, or the charity of one's choice.
