Mary Elizabeth Curran

Peacefully on Tuesday March 15th, Mary Elizabeth Curran aged 50 passed away at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Halifax surrounded by her loving family. Liz was born on May 30th, 1960 in Toronto Ontario to Emma Edith and the late William Robert Curran. She is survived by her mother Edith Curran of Burlington, Ontario and brother George Eldon Curran of Brisbane, Australia. She is also survived by David Paul Ervin, beloved sons Jarod Brandon Ervin (12 yrs.), Shane Devin Ervin (10 yrs.), the loveable Brackley and cherished aunt to Casey and Riley Curran and Benjamin and Matthew Ervin. Too soon gone but never forgotten, Liz’s enduring spirit will stay with us forever. Her enthusiasm and cheeky irreverent sense of humour brought a smile and inspiration to all those that met her. She touched our hearts in a unique and special way. In life she gave each of us a piece of her heart and in her departure a piece of our heart has passed with her. A gifted and well-known photographer, Liz was a life enthusiast most content when enjoying the company of good friends and family. She was a devoted and loving mother to the core with an unbound love of all things sweet and natural. The great outdoors and cottage living were her amongst her most cherished passions. The times she enjoyed most were a midnight paddle amidst the call of the loons, hiking and horseback riding in the Rocky Mountains, and walking the water’s edge. Always seeking new adventures, she recently reawakened her passion for motorcycling the open roads with the purchase of her new Yamaha.
Friends will be warmly received to join with family to share in a celebration of Liz and her artistic passions at Dartmouth Funeral Home Monday, March 21st between 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm with a service to follow on Tuesday, March 22nd at 2.00pm at the Parish of St. Thomas Church 3514 Hwy #2 Fall River NS. In lieu of flowers, donations to the 5A Radiation-Oncology Fund, QEII Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.
