March 3rd, 1924 – March 20th, 2011
Mom passed away peacefully March 20th at Porteous Lodge. Born at Woodrow, SK, the only child of Fred and Grace Bradfield, she moved to Moose Jaw, SK, following school and worked for Prairie Airways and the French Cleaners. She married Ted Hill June 16th, 1946 and raised their two children, Linda and Ron in Moose Jaw. Mom & Dad retired early and traveled Canada and the US, spending many winters in Arizona. Mom moved to Saskatoon in 2000 after Dad passed away and lived seven wonderful years at Primrose Chateau. She later moved into Porteous Lodge. She was an avid reader, a sports fanatic, never missing a Toronto Blue Jays game, curling, football or golf on TV. She loved her bingo game, and played a mean game of cards. Mom was a life member of the Order of the Royal Purple. Mom loved living at Porteous Lodge and was always happy to see the smiles of the wonderful staff dropping in to visit with her. Predeceased by her parents & husband Ted, she leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Linda & (Doug) Hutchinson, Saskatoon; her granddaughter Marla (Todd) Hein, great-grandchildren Taryn and Jace of Saskatoon; granddaughter Shawna McCafferty (Dennis) of Wetaskwin, AB; son, Ron & (Shirley) Hill of Duncan, BC, grandchildren Carl Hill, Moose Jaw, SK, Ross (Karren) Hill, Brownlee SK, great-grandchildren Rain, Autumn & Tyler of Brownlee, SK; granddaughter Jaida (Glen) Brewer, great-grandchildren Andrew and Alexis of Duncan BC; several cousins and extended family. Special thanks to Dr. Nayaar, Dr. Rajput, the management and staff of Porteous Lodge.
